Last week, the Senate confirmed Alejandro Mayorkas, currently Director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), as Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security by a vote of 54-41.

President Obama also announced his intent to nominate Leon Rodriguez as Director of USCIS.
